- 2 cups milk
- 2 tablespoons corn starch
- 4 tablespoons margarine or butter
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 6 ounces shredded American cheese
- 6 medium potatoes
Mix milk and corn starch until smooth. Add margarine, salt and pepper; bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Boil one minute. Add cheese and stir until melted.
Slice potatoes thin; place in 2-quart casserole. Stir in sauce. Bake at 400° Fahrenheit for 30 minutes. Serves 6.
