Corn Bread

Serves 8 to 10 people

Cream sugar and shortening in medium bowl. Gradually stir in dry milk. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Combine cornmeal, flour, baking powder and salt. Add to sugar mixture alternately with water, stirring just until blended.

Pour into a lightly greased 9-inch square baking dish. Bake in preheated 375 degree (Fahrenheit) oven for 25 to 30 minutes.
