Pumpkin Bread

Christmas, 1989

This is a hearty quick bread with spices. Works equally well with fresh bananas.

Cream sugar, butter and eggs in large bowl.

Combine separately flour, baking powder, soda, salt and spices. Add to creamed mixture alternately with pumpkin, beginning and ending with dry ingredients (batter will be thick). Stir in nuts.

Pour batter into two greased 5 by 9 inch loaf pans. Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 60 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
