Mom’s Sugar Cookies
Distinctive and delicious recipe!
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup shortening
- 3 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 3 cups flour
Cream together sugar, shortening, and eggs; add vanilla. Mix dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture. Roll out and cut into desired shapes with cookie cutter. Bake in 350 degree (Fahrenheit) oven for 10 to 12 minutes. Cool completely before frosting.
