Joe’s 12th birthday was on January 17, 2001, but we had his birthday party the weekend before (January 13 & 14). It began Saturday afternoon.
Two of Joe’s friends came over. I cooked up three frozen pizzas for dinner: one cheese, to which I added some pepperoni; one with the works; and one sausage pizza. One of Joe’s friends had to go home after dinner.
We watched Pokémon 2000 on video. Then Joe and his friend went online for a while.
Wendi lit off a “table bomb” in the kitchen; the bomb shot out confetti and small toys.
Next, we prepared to serve the birthday cake. Joe tried to blow out the candles, but there were some trick candles on the cake!
