I made breakfast for lunch, about 12:30: citrus-spice pancakes (using Sunny Delight®) and thick-sliced bacon. Joe’s other friend came back at about 1 p.m. and had a pancake too. Then Wendi let him set off the second table bomb, in the living room. This one really blew! Confetti and toys flew all over. This time, I caught it on film.
Moments later, each of the boys was wearing a paper crown from the bomb. Some of us shot off party pops too. By now, the living room was a frightful mess.
I served up cake and ice cream after that. The party broke up at about 3 p.m.
I took Joe to Wal-Mart, where he bought a D-3 Digivice with his birthday money and saved allowance.
I took Joe to Roherty’s for dinner. Joe had the kids’ pizza; I had the honey dipped chicken special. We took the ham special home for Wendi.
