Christmas Day: We had a surprise visit from Alex Jeffcoat, who dropped in around 1:30 and stayed until 3:00. Living in Ashland, WI, right on Lake Superior, he doesn’t get down here often; he said it had been about three years since he had seen us. We had a great time with him, and I hugged him when he arrived and again as he was leaving.
