Blizzard
August 11, 2001
Inspired by a song by Jim Reeves, this drawing depicts a lone horseman caught in a blizzard. The horse’s footprints are visible in a sea of blowing snow and grey sky.
There’s a blizzard coming on;
How I’m wishing I was home,
For my pony’s lame, and he can’t hardly stand.
Listen to that norther sigh;
If we don’t get home, we’ll die,
But it’s only seven miles to Mary Ann.
