Some Progress on the Music

I didn’t get a whole lot accomplished on my musical endeavors over the winter months, mostly due to illness and various other obligations. Things have slowed down a bit for me since mid-spring, and I’m back into the groove again. I managed to purchase a new Behringer preamp in early March (no more of using an old tape deck for the purpose), and also a Shure SM58 vocal mic (the industry standard); I also upgraded the sound card on my computer. The audio is greatly improved! I am currently in the process of recording vocals and programming the accompaniment for my new demo CD. So far I have three complete vocal tracks and enough material to do four more; this is probably more than enough for the demo, but once the demo is completed, I plan to work on a complete album on CD to be released independently. This will get me “under the radar” in case nobody “bites” on the demo anytime soon. That way, I’ve covered the bases.
