This is the same race as last year’s Safe Harbor Run/Walk; they changed the name of it this year. It was held at Henry Vilas Park in Madison, WI, at 9:00 a.m.

especially, was very congested. Still ran a good race, breaking my PR

That awkward moment when you realize that it took you longer
to get out of bed than to run 3.1 miles.

This private event started and ended at the Skelly home which is not far from Skelly’s Farm Market.
Skelly Country Run, First Leg: 7.76 miles in 1:09:28 (7:10 a.m.)
First leg of a 50K relay. Strong west winds and some hills
provided a challenge. I finished strong with a kick at the
end. Great run!

Jessica Garcia and Jennifer Skelly finished together in 4:28:20.
Team Jade (Charlie, Jade, Kayla, Ann) finished in 4:45:00.
Team Mike (5 runners) finished in 4:47:15.
Team No Plan, No Problem (3 runners) ran only the first lap, finishing in 2:30.

Holiday Adventure: Ran 8.63 miles in 1:19:22 (9:12/mile), 7:10 a.m.
Met up with a dozen other runners at Ron Mowry’s house for
the annual Thanksgiving Day run. This was my second year, and
I lost the course for the second time! I ended up running
Racine St. right through the roundabouts (still under
construction, with deep tire tracks) and over the interstate.
Ran into some of the group at mile 6.6. ~ Also saw Jennifer
Skelly at mile 4, on Palmer; she ran with me for a bit. ~
Snow and ice, plus snow-covered woodland trails and creek
crossings, added to the adventure.
Hot spiced cider, mixed nuts and zucchini bread awaited us upon our return.
