Joe’s Nose Surgery and Charlie’s Music CD

Posted Sunday, April 8, 2007

Happy Easter!

It has been some time since the last update because I have been busy finishing up my music CD. Two items of interest are reported here:

Joe’s Nose Surgery

Our son, Joe, has suffered a lot of sinus infections in the past year or so. He saw Dr. Lyon, an ear, nose and throat specialist at Riverview Clinic, on February 12; he ordered a CT scan on February 14. The scan revealed a badly deviated septum, which means that the bone separating the two nostrils was crooked—in this case, enough to badly narrow the air passage through the nose. This was likely contributing to his frequent sinus infections and colds.

On April 2, Joe underwent surgery to repair the deviated septum and open up the sinuses better also. This week being spring break, he has been recovering at home, most often accompanied by friends, including his girlfriend, who has been a great source of cheer to the whole family.

Charlie’s Music CD Finished—Umm… Finally

After literally months of trial-and-error to get everything just right, the long-awaited CD entitled Umm… is entirely finished now, including the mastering and labeling. Release date is set for Tuesday, April 10, which allows time for some copies to be made. Soon the official website will be developed better; check charliepetitt.com* often for updates, but remember you probably saw it first here on The Oo Kingdom.
