Our son, Joe, has been married to Elizabeth since 2011.
Sometime around July 2, 2023, Elizabeth asked Joe for a divorce. Joe told us that they hadn’t been talking much, and that “things haven’t worked out” for about two years prior to this. Elizabeth announced it to her Facebook friends on July 23, which was their 12th wedding anniversary.
Since then, Elizabeth has moved back to Winona, where her parents live, along with their daughter Asha; Joe remains at the mobile home in Red Wing, where he has spent considerable time fixing up the place, even tearing up flooring and replacing it.
They have decided to wait until the new year to finalize the divorce, as this will help Joe in regard to taxes.
