Onion Rings
- 1-1/8 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons oil (optional)
- 6 medium onions
Slice onions 1/4 inch thick. Combine flour, salt, egg, milk and oil; beat just until dry ingredients are well moistened. Coat onion rings with batter. Fry in deep hot fat (375 degrees Fahrenheit) until golden. Drain on paper towels; season with salt just before serving.
