I took Wendi downtown (29 S Main St), where there was a Native American ceremony at 1 pm honoring the completion of a new mural depicting Chief Black Hawk and Miracle, the White Buffalo. The artist who painted the mural, Jeff Henriquez, was there. There was a drum and singers too. A man named Skip spoke about Chief Black Hawk. It was quite an experience.
After the ceremony, Wendi asked me to take her to where our old apartment used to be, on the corner of Main and Centerway. She stepped onto the property (which is now vacant and owned by the city), and I took a selfie with both of us.
