Wendi’s brother, John Phillips, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 25, 2021. This is the account of our trip to the Green Bay area for his memorial service. Taken almost verbatim from our Family Journal, it’s somewhat abbreviated and rough.
Up 6 am. ~ Cinnamon mini Danish for breakfast, with Jack Link’s teriyaki Tender Bites, and coffee. ~ Packed and loaded for Green Bay trip.

Arrived at Calavera Springs Park in Suamico, WI 12:06
Only family was there, about 25 people or so.
Lunch - sandwiches, potato salad, cole slaw, pickles, chips/salsa/dip,
deviled eggs, bean dish from Ralph*, cookies
*Dish consisted of Bush’s baked beans, mini smokie links, ground beef,
8 oz. tomato paste, cumin, paprika, and garlic.

There was a Hispanic family in the lobby, getting breakfast. The gentleman, whose name was Jorge, had me use his camera to take a picture of them. Later, Wendi introduced herself, and Jorge took a “group selfie” including us.
