Epic Landmark Birthdays

February 15 & 17, 2013
Posted here April 15, 2022

Wendi turned 50 this year, and I (Charlie) turned 55 two days later, so we made a bigger deal of our birthdays than usual.

Wendi’s 50th Birthday Party

Friday, February 15, 2013

It took place in a conference room at Roxbury Church at 3 pm. We had food from Italian House: spaghetti, garlic bread and two Gondola sandwiches; the bread and sandwiches were sliced into portions. We also had punch made with soda and sherbet. Twelve of us were present including three children.

Thank You to all my many friends out there that Wished me a Happy Birthday!

I had a very GREAT DAY! Turning 50 is not as bad as I thought it would be now tomorrow Charlie turns 55 but thats not old either.

Old is only a part of the mind that you feel. Or as the saying goes YOUR ONLY AS OLD AS YOU FEEL. So think young and also think positive!

Charlie’s 55th Birthday

Sunday, February 17, 2013

My vacation week officially started today, though my last day of work was Monday, the 11th.

I used to be the Little Mmm Guy…
Now I’m the Old(er) Little Mmm Guy.

Check out the renovated website… a work in progress (but I’m taking today off!) www.ookingdom.com

We attended church at 9:00; I made buttermilk pancakes with strawberry sauce and bacon for brunch.

Ran 11.03 miles (2:11-3:52 p.m.) ~ Beautiful birthday run… a mile for every 5 years! The 2-hour HM pace was a nice bonus :)

From the Home page of ookingdom.com - check out the third entry lol

I got this mug for my 35th birthday, which was 20 years ago. I still use it often.

A very hearty THANK YOU to everyone who sent me birthday greetings! If anyone asks how it feels to be 55, so far it’s AMAZING! I had a great day yesterday… church in the morning, buttermilk pancakes with strawberry sauce and bacon for brunch, a nice sunny 11-mile run in the afternoon, and for dinner: lemon pepper chicken, baked Brussels sprouts and onions, and baked potato with butter and sour cream. Wendi and I played bowling and Frisbee golf on the Wii after dinner.
